1. Does someone have to be home during the delivery or pickup?
No, it is not necessary for anyone to be home during the delivery.
2. Do you deliver every day of the week?
Yes, provided that inventory is available.
3. What areas do you deliver to?
Please reference our delivery zone chart in the section entitled "Pricing" on the About Us page.
4. How much notice is needed prior to The Flamingo Fairy's visit?
Early reservations (at least one week prior) are best in order to insure availability of your desired theme; however, if inventory allows, we may be able to still set up a visit within 24 hours. Preparation includes finalizing the paperwork, locating the home, completing the message on the marquee, loading the appropriate theme signs, etc. This all takes time. Just remember to call as early as you possibly can.
5. What methods of payment are accepted?
Methods of payment include MasterCard, Visa, American Express, personal money order, checks, and cash. To pay with a personal check or money order, please call or email first. In all cases, we must receive payment before we deliver your front yard card.
6. Can I request a specific message with my front yard card?
Without a doubt! We absolutely encourage you to let this be YOUR message. At a loss for words, though, we can help make suggestions. However, no rude or distasteful comments will be accepted. The Flamingo Fairy has the right to turn away any request that appears to have demeaning intentions.
7. How many yard signs are included in the display?
A total of 30 yard signs will be placed in your yard.
8. Do you deliver in bad weather?
We deliver in most weather conditions. However, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the delivery if we feel the weather would be a danger to the delivery person(s) or if winds are strong enough to blow the display out of the recipient's yard. We will contact you to reschedule or refund the rental fee if the delivery is delayed or canceled.
9. What if I need to cancel an order?
You will receive a full refund if either of the following applies:
a) the rental is canceled at least 24 hours in advance
b) extreme weather conditions prevent us from delivering
10. Do you deliver to apartments or townhouses?
Yes, we can set up your yard display at an apartment or townhouse as long as there is a grassy area. Approval must be obtained from the property management company and provided to us in written form. We will also need the property management name and phone number when you place your order. We will need any access information and an exact location where the display is to go.
11. Do you deliver to businesses or offices?
Just like apartments, we can set up a yard display in front of most businesses. With any business, we will also need a grassy area along with the property management company's permission in written form. We cannot set up on public property, on a right-of-way, or block the view of drivers. Flamingos or any display serve as a great grand opening eye catcher.
12. What is your refund policy?
We are able to refund your payment if cancellations are made 24 hours in advance of the scheduled delivery or if weather conditions prevent us from providing the service. We cannot make refunds for elements beyond our control such as being provided with an incorrect address, the homeowner, business owner, or security officer prevents us from setting up or requires early removal, lack of a grassy area to set up the display, incorrect or denied access to gated communities, animals or any other unexpected circumstance that might prevent our set up.
13. What are your rental policies?
The displays are creative and fun but are not safe for climbing or leaning on. If you choose to take a picture with your display, please make sure no one sits, stands, climbs, or leans on the individual displays. Please do not remove any of the displays from the ground. If early removal is needed, we will gladly remove everything if given advance notice. We keep a log of exact inventory left at each display area. Any missing or damaged inventory will be charged out in full retail price to the customer who purchased the display. See Rental Policies.
14. What information is needed to make a delivery?
We will need complete address information and any helpful landmarks on the way to the location or at the location. Any information you can provide will help tremendously as most deliveries are made in the dark. Internet mapping programs and electronic navigators are not always accurate. Also, please indicate the best delivery time. Most deliveries are made between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. however, we are definitely open to working with you on other hours. If we'll be coming at night and someone in the home is in the know, please ask that they leave a porch light on, and make sure any dogs are secured and content so as not to give us away. We will need to know what you would like your marquee message to include and what individual display theme you would like. Don't forget, we can help you with your message, if needed.
15. How do I order a yard display?
You may contact us by phone (318)442-2464 or through our website at www.theflamingofairy.com. Payments can be hand delivered or sent through the postal service but must be received prior to the service.
16. Are there referral rewards for frequent Flamingo Fairy customers?
Yes! We greatly appreciate customer support and want to say thank you. If three other customers order a yard display based on your referral, you will receive 20% off of your next order. Please make sure your referrals mention your name at the time they place their order.
17. Do you participate in fundraising?
Yes! Please contact us for details. Yard displays are a creative and unique alternative to typical fundraising.
19. Are we able to purchase gift certificates?
Definitely. If you know someone who is hard to buy for but who loves to give unique gifts to others, then what better gift to give THEM! They, in turn, can use the gift certificate to provide their special someone with a creative surprise. A true gift that keeps on giving!
